Transferring from the Maricopa County Community College District to Arizona State University can be a smooth process when planned. As a Maricopa student, you have a couple of ways to earn your bachelor’s degree at ASU. Find what works best for you and we'll help you plan your path.

Get started with the MyPath2ASU® transfer experience

 

Step 1

Sign up for MyPath2ASU®

  • Visit mapp.maricopa.edu.
  • Enter your Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID) and password.
  • Identify your current transfer institution.
  • Complete your profile.
  • Choose from more than 400 on-campus and online pathways.

Step 2

Access ASU My Transfer Guide

  • You will receive an ASURITE User ID via email about two weeks after signing up.
  • Go to mypath2asu.asu.edu.
  • Click Sign Up, then click Sign In below I have an ASU account.
  • Sign in using your ASURITE User ID.

Step 3

View your transfer coursework

  • Create a MyPath2ASU® account.
  • Bookmark or favorite your pathway in My Transfer Guide (you do not need to sign up for MyPath2ASU® again because you’ve already signed up on the Maricopa website).
  • Now you can log back in any time at mypath2asu.asu.edu to keep track of your transfer coursework.

Step 4

Prepare to transfer to ASU

  • Go to admission.asu.edu/transfer/apply to review admission requirements and steps to apply.
  • Apply to ASU one year before completing MyPath2ASU® (six months if you are transferring in the spring semester). Report your ASU ID number on the application.
  • Use the same ASURITE User ID to track your application status on my.asu.edu.

Transfer Guide

Learn how credits from other colleges and universities you have attended will transfer to ASU. Search for ASU course equivalencies or request a transfer course evaluation.

ASU Career Services

As a MyPath2ASU® student, you'll have access to ASU Career Services and its career advising, career assessment and job search tools. You'll need your ASURITE User ID and password to access services. Note that some services have fees.

AAS to BAS: Bachelor of Applied Science

Bachelor of Applied Science degrees are designed specifically for students who have earned an Associate of Applied Science.

  • Students who have earned an AAS from a regionally accredited institution may transfer 60 credit hours toward their BAS.

  • Students who have earned an AAS degree from a regionally accredited Arizona community college may be eligible to transfer up to 75 credits toward their BAS.

Plan to meet with an academic advisor to ensure your courses will meet degree requirements.

FAQ (for students)

Visit MyPath2ASU® to access transfer requirements for 400+ ASU degree programs. Courses are displayed in an easy-to-follow, semester-by-semester sequence.

There is no need to sign up again unless it has been more than four years since you signed up, or if you are changing your major or moving to a newer catalog year.

Yes, there will be no interruption of the transcript-sending service for students signing up for a pathway program regardless of the academic year.

As always, students who signed up for a MAPP and want to change to a different major will need to sign up for the new major through mapp.maricopa.edu. Consult your community college academic advisor first to understand potential consequences of making a program plan change.
