Pursuing a second bachelor's degree

A second bachelor’s degree applicant is a student who has obtained a bachelor’s degree from another U.S. regionally accredited institution or accredited international institution, and who is seeking to apply for a second bachelor’s degree from ASU.

Second bachelor's degree admission requirements

Students seeking a second baccalaureate degree must meet admission requirements for that degree. After conferral of the first degree, a minimum of 30 credit hours in resident credit courses at ASU must be successfully completed to earn the second bachelor’s degree. The student must meet all degree and university requirements of the second degree. High school transcripts are not required unless you have selected a degree program with higher admission requirements that requires it. Learn more about:

  • Graduated from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Minimum 2.00 cumulative transfer GPA (for Arizona residents) or 2.50 cumulative transfer GPA (for nonresidents).
