Applications for ASU Online, graduate programs, transfer admission, students applying for spring 2027 admission, or international students, are not eligible.

You must submit your application between 12:01 a.m. Arizona time on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, and 11:59 p.m. Arizona time on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026. Because Arizona does not observe daylight saving time, Arizona’s time may differ from yours. Check the current time in Arizona.

*After you submit your Common Application, ASU will confirm your eligibility for the offer. If you do not meet the eligibility requirements, the application fee will be posted in My ASU. Check My ASU and your email regularly, and pay the fee promptly to avoid delays in reviewing your application.

No. If you qualify, you’ll be able to submit your application without being prompted to pay.

You can still receive the $0 application fee offer. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can submit your existing application between Oct. 1 and Oct. 12, 2026, without paying the application fee, regardless of when you started it.

The offer is not retroactive. Application fees paid before Oct. 1 or after Oct. 12 will not be refunded.

We cannot refund application fees. If you believe you are eligible for the offer but do not see a $0 balance, select “Pay later” and contact an ASU admission team member for help.

You must officially submit your application by 11:59 p.m. Arizona time on Oct. 12, 2026. You do not need to submit supporting materials, such as transcripts, by Oct. 12 to receive the $0 application fee.

If you are a first-year student, you can choose one of the following options:

  • Self-report your grades: The application takes longer to complete, but you may receive an admission decision sooner. If you are admitted using self-reported grades, you will need to submit an official final transcript before enrolling.

  • Send a transcript: The application is quicker to complete, but it may take longer to receive an admission decision. You will need to report your senior-year courses in progress and ask your high school to send an official transcript directly to ASU.

No. The offer only applies to ASU’s application fee. Your school, district or a third-party service may charge a separate fee to send your transcripts.

No. The offer does not affect how ASU reviews your application or makes an admission decision.

U.S. News & World Report has named ASU the nation’s most innovative university for the 12th consecutive year. We’re marking this milestone by removing the application fee for 12 days.
