Stage II: 7 Student Records Management, Access, and Security

Criterion 7Submission Requirements Artifacts to Submit
The institution must demonstrate that it will maintain and retain student records. Institutions seeking Initial Institutional Approval will provide verification that:Provide a plan — and corresponding evidence if available — that verifies all of the following:Student records are maintained by the institution. Official and unofficial Arizona State University (ASU) academic transcripts are available through University Registrar Services. Official transcripts can be ordered online or by mail.

 

Once approved by the Commission, students in our California educator preparation program will follow the same steps as all of our ASU students for obtaining copies of their transcripts. (See processes below, and these are also posted on the University Registrar Services website.)

 

To order official transcripts: 
Students who have an ASURITE User ID can sign in to My ASU and order official transcripts online. In the My Classes box, click Grades & Transcripts and then Transcripts & Test Scores.  

 

Students who do not yet have an ASURITE User ID or do not know their ASURITE User ID and password can contact the ASU Help Desk at 855-278-5080 for assistance requesting their ASURITE User ID.


Students may order transcripts by mail by submitting a Request for Official Transcript Form or signed letter including the following information:
• Name
• Former names (if applicable)
• Arizona State University identification number (or SSN)
• Date of birth
• First and last dates of attendance
• Current return address
• Daytime phone number
• Specific mailing address for each transcript ordered


All charges for official transcripts must be paid at time of request. Official transcripts cost $15 per official transcript copy requested. Rush transcripts (same day service): $10 in addition to the costs for the total number of transcripts ordered. Available for in-person requests only.


To view and request unofficial transcripts, students and former students who have an ASURITE User ID can sign in to My ASU to view and print an unofficial transcript. 

Students who do not have an ASURITE User ID or do not know their ASURITE User ID and password can request an ASURITE User ID to access unofficial transcripts online by contacting the ASU Help Desk at 855-278-5080.

Students may order an unofficial transcript by mailing or faxing a signed letter including the following information about the student:
• Name and former names (if applicable)
• Arizona State University identification number (or SSN)
• Date of birth
• First and last dates of attendance
• Current return address
• Daytime phone number
• Return fax number or specific mailing address
 

Requests for unofficial transcripts by mail or fax must be signed by the student. No computer generated signatures will be accepted.

There is no fee for an unofficial transcript. For assistance, students and former students can contact University Registrar Services.

Once students are admitted to ASU, they have access to My ASU. This webpage provides information about their course schedule and is where final grades will appear.
