International Student Arrival Orientation
Arizona State University hosts a number of orientation events for incoming international students. These informative and interactive programs offer an overview of a wide variety of topics to help you learn more about ASU.
Fall 2021 orientation information
International Student and Family Orientation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 15 and Monday, Aug. 16 in person at ASU's Tempe campus.
Registered students and families will receive additional details and the full event schedule by Friday, Aug. 13 through email.
You will check-in for International Student and Family Orientation on Sunday, Aug. 15 between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. (Arizona time) at ASU Gammage. The program begins promptly at 1:30 p.m. You’ll receive additional details about the sessions during this event.
Remember to keep us updated on if you will be attending in person or remotely from your home country through your registration details so we can email you the most appropriate information.

Register for classes
First-year students: Incoming undergraduate first-year international students are expected to attend the Fall 2021 International Student Orientation prior to attending fall classes. First-year international students should also complete the New Student Experience, which can be accessed under the Priority Tasks section on MyASU. You can access the New Student Experience after you pay your enrollment deposit. While completing the New Student Experience, you will be invited to schedule your Academic Advising and Course Planning Session. During this session, you will meet with your academic college and register for fall courses with your academic advisor. To learn more, visit here.
Transfer and Graduate students: Incoming undergraduate transfer and graduate international students are expected to attend the Fall 2021 International Student Orientation prior to attending fall classes. Contact your advisor prior to attending International Student Orientation to enroll in fall courses.
No matter when you arrive in Phoenix, you will have access to ASU’s free airport arrival services with Lyft. If you would like to reserve your free transportation from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to your final housing destination on- or off-campus, please fill out this form.

ASU Welcome events

International Student Engagement supports, advocates and designs experiences for international undergraduate and graduate students from admittance through graduation and beyond.
ISE provides students with personal and professional development opportunities outside of the classroom. Students build community, develop their leadership skills and participate in our many global celebrations.
